NJection site thumbnail image

NJection came to us to get a custom theme applied to their Community Server site. Community Server is a relatively new CMS implemented on Microsoft's ASP.NET platform. Initially we crafted just the theme: a professional and clean style to fit over the already-extent structure of the page. In addition, we designed a collection of business stationary for NJection's employees: business cards, letterheads, and envelopes. NJection came to us with a rough idea for a logo, which we transformed into an up to date web emblem. This is our most recent site and while the theme may be finished, we are currently implementing a custom ‘mash-up’ type application which uses an ajax-style interface to allow site members to warn each other about speed traps on the highways with ease.

Northwest Technical Institute site thumbnail image

Northwest Technical Institute is a school in Portland that needed a new web site. Desparately. Their's hadn't been updated since 1999. For them we created a bold, clean web site that makes it easy for prospective students to find the information they need. We also integrated google maps into the site so that new students and visitors can easily get directions from their house right to the door of Northwest Tech. In the end, Northwest Technical was so happy with the site that they hired The Third Olive to redesign their student records database, which also hadn't been updated in nearly a decade. Now their teachers & administrators can spend more time teaching and less time wrestling with an outdated and inexpertly designed database.

Laurence Qamar—an urban planner, artist and architect—needed a tasteful and appealing site to display his vast professional portfolio. Since most of his work is visual—plans, diagrams, schematics and renderings—we wanted the pictures to take the foreground. Working loosely from the layout that he designed for his paper portfoio, and a logo that Laurence drew by hand, we selected a complimentary palatte with low saturations to serve as Laurence's portfolio on the web. The real beauty of this site is that it lets the pictures speak for themselves.

PCASC Site Thumbnail

Portland Central America Solidarity Committee (PCASC) wanted a professional and contemporary feel projected onto their existing website and a major overhaul of their web-based services. The Third Olive achieved both these goals and continues to provide technical support.

The professional and contemporary feel for their website required a complete style package. When you visit their website you are greeted by modern color and cohesive design.

The overhaul of their web-based services was extensive. Now PCASC website visitors benefit from an interactive calendar, and PCASC members can directly update several segements of their website without using any technical, programming tricks. The website is a large CMS implemented with Plone.

CubeSpace site thumbnail

CubeSpace wanted a website that would stand out in Portland's large non-profit and small business sectors. Third Olive Design built this fledgling business' web presence from the ground up. Third Olive Design collaborated with CubeSpace staff and their freelance graphic designer to develop and implement the unique "cartoony" Cubespace theme. The CubeSpace website is a hefty CMS site using Drupal with custom coding.
